An 8 day, 18th century, flame mahogany longcase clock by Eardley Norton, London. Features a broken arch, brass silvered chapter ring with engraved roman numerals and arabic numerals on the outside with date aperture and seconds dial and blued steel hands. The signature Eardley Norton London No.1267, on a curved silvered plaque in the arch. The movement with rack striking, sounding the hours on a single bell, with brass cased weights and a massive brass pendulum bob. The pagoda top with two ball, brass finials. Standing 93 inches high on a raised plinth.

Early Ebonised 18th century Longcase by Step. Lum : Chelmsford
The square 12 inch brass dial with brass silvered chapter ring, engraved roman and arabic numerals, signed Step. Lum : Chelmsford, date aperture, seconds dial and original blued steel hands, wheatear border engraving, mask and scroll, brass applied spandrels. The originally rising hood now converted to front opening with convex moulding under the hood and water gilded, wooden capitals. The slender trunk door contains a gilded glazed lenticle. The 5 pillar (turned and finned), 8 day movement with rack and snail striking and anchor recoil escapement. Striking the hours on a single cast bell.
